Lisa Carrington wins Maori Sports Award
Lisa Carrington was honoured by the Maori Sports Awards in Auckland on Saturday night (3rd December) for her achievements in kayaking, winning the Maori Senior Sports woman of the Year Award, as well as being recognised for a World Championship title.
Lisa qualified the K1 200m for the 2012 Olympics by winning gold at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Szeged in August this year, as well as qualifying the K2 500m with team mate Erin Taylor.
