Entries have now opened for the 2021 Kahawai Paddling Championships – a brand new Canoe Racing NZ event designed to develop the next generation of paddlers.
The inaugural competition will be held on Saturday May 8 at Takapuna Beach in Auckland and is open to all paddlers of intermediate or high school age. It is hoped the competition will attract paddlers from a range of levels and backgrounds; sprint, surf lifesaving, ocean or multisport.
All equipment and craft will be provided by organisers.
The event will adopt the new Kahawai competition format on one of the Paddler-X courses see more here
